Candler County Thrift Store & Local Missions
Our Candler County store located in Metter Georgia opened in December of 2007. It is the newest of the three thrift stores that we operate. We found this jewel of a city through our partnership and fellowship with the Guido Evangelistic Association headquartered just down the road in the heart of Metter.
Here are some of the basics about the ministry in Candler County / Metter Georgia:
- Location: our Thrift Store is located just about a mile north off of exit 104 on I-16. It is located at 715 S. Lewis Street in Metter.
- Hours: The store is open 6 days per week, Monday through Saturday. The hours are Monday – Friday 10-6 and Saturday 9-6
- Phone: Our phone number there is 912-685-2158
- Appointments: Anyone needing assistance should call the store and notify the person that answers that they would like an appointment for assistance. That’s it.
- General: The store is approximately 5,000 sqft of quality used, new and nearly new merchandise ranging from clothes and accessories to toys and televisions and most things in between. For our shoppers, we gladly accept Visa, Mastercard and cash only. This location does not accept checks at this time. The store is generally closed for New Year’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving & Christmas Holidays. We are typically open all other holidays though possibly with shorter hours in some locations.
- Donations: Being our newest store, this store typically gets the least amount of donations from the public. This store is generally very light on donations and is in need of clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. Donations may be dropped off anytime during business hours, and all donations are generally tax-deductible.
- Special Sales:
(a) The last day of every month all three of our stores will have ALL ITEMS in he store for 50% Off. No exceptions. No fine print. If the last day of the month falls on a Sunday, we will instead have it on the Saturday before.
(b) Next, we will occasionally have a $1 sale where all of the clothes in our store will be $1 per piece excluding only white tags.
(c) Everyday there is something on sale ranging from 25% – 75% off. We post our monthly calendar online and hand out calendars in the store. Keep checking to find really great deals to save your family a lot of money and get great bargains daily.
