We at Acts III have desired to simply be a tool in the Hand of God to use as He sees fit…whenever and however He desires. Since our inception in 2003, we feel as though we have maybe gotten off track from that focus. If you read some of the honest mission trip entries you will understand why we feel this way. Did the Lord save people, disciple people, heal people, encourage people, warn people, provide for the needs of people through Acts III? Yes.
However, were we walking in obedience doing His will or were we building a metaphorical ‘Acts III Tower of Babel?’ The Lord knows the truth. But we are convicted that in the future that we need to return to the basics of (1) Just loving the Lord our God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength, and (2) loving His creation. If we do that without any foredrawn conclusions or selfish expectations of how He must use us, and couple that with earnestly seeking the Lord, we then and only then will be useable to God.
I have been asked several times how I/we define “SUCCESS” for our ministry. My simple answer is “OBEDIENCE.” Are we being 100% obedient to do exactly what the Lord has for us in the way He wants us to and in His timing? If we can answer ‘Yes,’ then we are successful. If not…we have failed God and man.
So where are we headed in the future? We are headed on our knees to the feet of Jesus!
